The Role: 

We seek an experienced Director of Client Services Engineering for our technical client services team to deliver cutting-edge, immersive experiences for international clientele. This person will hire and lead a team that extends and deploys custom projects on our in-house metaverse creation platform. These projects explore and develop innovative ideas in the immersive experiences space, pushing the boundaries of what's possible within immersive experiences. 

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in 3D applications, extensive experience in Unity (or a similar game engine), and a demonstrated track record of successfully deploying bespoke solutions on time and under budget. In this role, you will grow and lead a new team to extend and deploy custom projects on our in-house platform. These projects explore and develop innovative moonshot ideas, pushing the boundaries of what's possible within the realm of immersive experiences.

What You’ll Do: 

• Team Leadership:

• Hire, lead, and inspire a team of engineers, technical artists, and designers to deliver exceptional immersive experiences
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and development
• Have experience managing external contractors and internal employees to ensure deliverables meet expectations
• Establish and manage the operational and engineering excellence of the team
• Mentor team members and help them develop their careers
• Project Delivery:
• Partner with the technical producer to develop roadmaps for client projects
• Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance, ensuring the successful delivery of bespoke custom projects
• Guide the concept development with your expertise in 3D and mobile engineering to appropriately scope the work for a given project
• Use business and technical judgment to inform the platform team on feature prioritization
• Where needed, help in the implementation of project delivery
• Comfortable with writing code
• Technical Expertise:
• Be comfortable in the 3d space using tools like Unity or Unreal
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to inform decision-making and keep projects at the forefront of innovation
• Collaborate with developers to identify areas for improvement, streamline workflows, and optimize performance
• Sales Support:
• Develop concepts and other demos to help support the enterprise sales team
• Drive the development of custom solutions that build upon the existing platform, contributing to the company's innovation roadmap

What You’ll Bring: 

• 5+ years of experience in 3D design and development, with a strong portfolio of completed immersive projects

• Strongly recommended having worked with technologies like WebXR, WebGL, WebGPU
• Shipped one or more 3D games or game like experiences
• Familiar with web 3d tools like Three.js, Babylon.js, Playcanvas, or Unity for web.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, managing and mentoring technical teams, including external contractors
• Experience shipping at least one mobile application on iOS and Android
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with streaming video and live event production is preferred
• Experience with VR/AR/XR is preferred
• Experience with multiplayer experiences (or games) is preferred

The base pay range for this position is $200,000 - $280,000. The base salary range is applicable across the United States and the offered rate may vary based on factors such as experience, education, market conditions, and location.
