Job Description

INTRODUCTION:

ABC Fitness is seeking a practiced product leader to serve as Director of Product (CRM).

In this role you are responsible for leading, defining, and prioritizing the work to complete and promote ABC’s next-gen CRM. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring continuous innovation of the CRM strategy, already in a high-growth area, and will play a significant role in shaping the strategic product roadmap and be an evangelist for ABC Fitness.

The successful candidate must thoroughly understand and anticipate market and client needs, be attuned to changes in technology and the competitive marketplace, while continually leading, motivating, and inspiring teams to develop a best-in-class solution.

This is a key strategic role, and you will have the opportunity to be a major contributor and driver of our vision, growth strategy and product execution.  You will lead and drive the discovery and research to help fitness operators succeed. We want someone who is excited and passionate about joining our journey. 

You should be a self-starter, who is willing to get into the details where necessary and has the proven ability to lead by influence and expertise.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:    

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, product managers and testers to transform ideas into unique, human experiences for fitness entrepreneurs
  • Lead the CRM initiative and be charged with the oversight of these products’ contribution to our business, building new products and increasing the revenue and profitability of existing products
  • Define the CRM product vision and roadmap that will drive the product strategy to meet the needs of both the business and our customers, including product positioning and pricing strategies that will differentiate our products in the market.
  • Drives product analytics to understand feature usage, comprehension, and optimization
  • Evaluates and establishes program priorities, make decisions around product development and set performance goals and metrics for the product division
  • Segments customer business problems into the build, buy, partner.
  • Communicating the company's product strategy and vision to the rest of the organization and ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards the same goals.
  • Partners with cross functional teams in delivering product and customer solutions in line with our customer and business needs, on time and within budget
  • Attending industry events and conferences, giving presentations and demonstrations of the company's products, networking with other industry professionals, and collaborating with external partners to develop and promote the company's products.
  • Develop and maintain market knowledge in terms of competitive dynamics and industry trends by staying close to competitors’ movements, and where appropriate, developing relationships with key industry stakeholders and influencers.
  • Conducting market and customer research, and product discovery, analyzing feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  • Consider, analyze, and pursue buy-build-partner opportunities that would advance the products’ success
  • Evangelize our products, innovation and the strategic product roadmap internally and externally
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as Product Marketing on the creation of positioning and value proposition for your products

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A strategist who will translate the company’s high-level CRM vision and goals into actionable tasks including building business cases, roadmaps, seeking consensus and coordinating product schedules with your design and engineering teammates
  • Well versed product manager and a leader and team player, adept at managing relationships, collaborating, and influencing across a variety of organizational functions and geographies to support your success
  • A leader with extensive P&L management responsibilities
  • A problem-solver who leverages data and qualitative and can reimagine the way people interact with a CRM creating experiences that help fitness operators improve lead conversion and member retention
  • Focused on delivering improvements to the marketplace and product execution that enables market and wallet share expansion
  • An excellent communicator who can influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including board level presentations
  • Comfortable initiating and holding conversations with prospective and current Enterprise customers and users

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in achieving business outcomes
  • Exceptional people leader, able to empower, motivate and engage teams to succeed and perform
  • Strong focus on addressing customer problems and meeting success metrics
  • Proven ability to plan strategically over a 6-month to 2-year timeframe
  • Effective organization and management of multiple priorities and trade-offs
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of both the fitness industry and CRM landscape
  • Active contribution to the professional community through speaking, writing, or online engagement
  • Deeply customer-centric and commercially minded with a keen understanding of user experience
  • Track record of successfully building business products using data and customer feedback
  • Hands-on approach to product discovery, user research, and backlog prioritization to deliver optimal user stories
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills for identifying and prioritizing market opportunities and customer needs
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, adept at working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, proficient in analyzing product performance and market trends for informed decision-making
  • Thorough understanding of the B2B SaaS market, including current trends, challenges, and the ability to seize new opportunities.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only and based on employees in the United States and may be different in other countries. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for U.S. based candidates for this position is $150,000 -- $195,000 USD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions. 

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only and based on employees in Canada and may be different in other countries. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for Canada based candidates for this position is $140,500 -- $195,100 CAD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.
