THE POSITION

FanDuel Group is looking to add an Employee Compliance Manager to help build out our Employee Compliance Program that includes Code of Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Compliance, Third Party Risk Management Due Diligence, Employee Play and E-Communication Monitoring/E-Surveillance.  This role requires someone with experience building and enhancing compliance programs.

The Employee Compliance Manager will report into the Employee Compliance Senior Manager within FanDuel Group’s Legal and Compliance team. The Employee Compliance Manager will assist the Employee Compliance Senior Manager with compliance program build and execution of the E-Communications Surveillance Compliance program, execution of the Employee Play program and implementation of the Compliance Policy Violations Framework relating to the Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, Code of Conduct and Employee Play programs. Successful licensing with state gaming regulators will be required following employment.

The ideal candidate for this role has standout ability related to program and personnel development, team management and a strong understanding of compliance fundamentals. Superior strategic, communication, and interpersonal skills are of paramount importance, as is a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a commitment to being a team player, and an aptitude to quickly learn the nuances of a fast-growing company within an expanding industry.

THE GAME PLAN

This position will work with a fantastic team of Compliance, Regulatory, Legal and HR professionals to continue to build and enhance the Employee Compliance Program. This role requires someone who is committed to promoting a Culture of Compliance. This role will:

  • Assist in developing and executing Employee Compliance policies, procedures, training, tool evaluation, governance, implementation, and enhancements, along with presentations to senior management.
  • Play integral role in building the employee E-Communication Monitoring/E-Surveillance program, including leading the team responsible for implementing the tooling for monitoring employee activities.
  • Play an integral role in developing and implementing the Compliance Policy Violation Framework.
  • Support in enhancing and developing the Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Code of Conduct, Third Party Risk Management, Employee Play and other key Employee Compliance related programs.
  • Perform Quality Assurance reviews relating to Employee Play, Gifts and Hospitality, Charitable Donations, Conflicts of Interest, Third Party Risk Management due diligence and screening.
  • Execution of Employee Play Compliance program, including policy and procedure updates; drafting related communications and guidance, partner with Regulatory Team on new state launches and updates to the policy, drive tech enhancements for more effective monitoring and controls around Employee Play, review policy escalations and disposition violations.
  • Identify, analyze, and address enforcement actions, industry-related news, and regulatory trends that may impact stakeholders, business operations, procedures, and controls across FanDuel.
  • Advise FanDuel team members across all departments and products of Employee Compliance regulatory requirements.
  • Recognize opportunities for automation and improvement to help the team and other key stakeholders work smarter, faster, and more effectively.
  • Identify and escalate controls and operational effectiveness gaps.

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 5 years of total compliance experience preferably in risk, compliance, or internal audit or in regulation management, governance, risk and controls, or regulatory functions in a highly regulated industry
  • Working as a consultant covering risk, compliance audit work a plus
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
  • A strong aptitude for documenting process, policies, procedures, metrics, and reporting
  • Program and project implementation
  • Experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated aptitude for process execution, including identification of process improvements
  • Ability to research and understand laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, court opinions, and enforcement actions
  • Experience in utilizing and maintaining tools used for compliance, risk management, and reporting
  • Experience building out effective compliance programs
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with senior management and stakeholders
  • Passion to work hard in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • A self-starter with energy to follow-through and own the outcome

The applicable salary range for this position is $96,000 - $120,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
