THE ROLE:
FloSports is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to support the planning and execution of our Owned & Operated (O&O) events. This role will focus on event logistics, vendor coordination, marketing support, and on-site execution to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional experience for participants, staff, and attendees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in planning and executing FloSports' Owned & Operated events, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
WNO - Top professional jiu-jitsu event series
FloRacing Night in America - Leading midweek late model dirt series
As well as large track & field events, wrestling and more!
Support event budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective execution.
Coordinate venue selection, vendor negotiations, and service contracts (e.g., catering, AV, logistics).
Manage event logistics, including transportation, accommodations, registration, and credentialing.
Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Content, and Production) to develop and execute event promotion and ticket sales strategies.
Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring smooth day-of operations.
Manage event staff, volunteers, and partner relationships to ensure high-quality event delivery.
Support post-event evaluations by gathering feedback, assessing key learnings, and making recommendations for future improvements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
3–5 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or operations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Creativity, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, or Asana).
Experience with sports events, live production, or ticketing platforms is a plus.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for event execution.
Additional Information:
This is a seasonal position (30 hours/week) with a flexible work arrangement.
Duration: 4 Months (April – July 2025)
Travel and on-site presence will be required for event execution.
The contractor will report to the Owned Events Team at FloSports.
