EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.

***Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA.***

***Note this is a fixed-term position with an end date of December 31st, 2025. Fixed-Term roles at Octagon are not benefit eligible.***

The Event Executive will support a team in developing innovative event activations across our client’s sports and lifestyle programming. You’ll work closely with both the agency and client team to support the program development, planning documents, and execution of various events and hospitality experiences across a spectrum of sports, entertainment, and cultural platforms!

With the team located across a few Octagon offices, there will be broad exposure to the events and hospitality industry, with tremendous potential to learn and gain hands-on experience.

This position will be exposed to high-profile partners and expected to collaborate with internal teammates, agency colleagues, and preferred vendors. THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Support the production team in managing and executing branded events and consumer activations
  • Develop necessary event documents including event guides, meeting notes, event asset trackers, and post-event recaps
  • General account management and assistance with client requests
  • Administrative assistance across various projects, simultaneously
  • Deliver unique, custom event solutions to key program partners, internally and externally, on a regular basis
  • Additional projects as assigned, including but not limited to: aiding with various tasks, conducting research, and offering support to the team in preparation for events

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1+ years’ experience within an agency or client service experience and event planning preferred
  • The approach that no job is too small or too big
  • A can-do attitude and desire to succeed
  • Eagerness to brainstorm and present fun ideas
  • You are coachable and willing to adapt in a fast-paced work environment
  • A sense of humor and the ability to tell a good story
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A go-getter, you demonstrate initiative and accept new challenges
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)

This position pays $42,000 annualized and is eligible for overtime.
