Wargaming invites an Expert VFX Artist to join its top AAA project - World of Tanks!

It's a two-times Guinness award-winning vehicle action game with a 110-million army of loyal fans. World of Tanks is a cultural phenomenon that has entertained players worldwide for around 12 years!

As an Expert VFX Artist, you will guide the creation and improvement of the VFX in World of Tanks. You will influence the visual style of the game and create the most impressive parts of gameplay. Your VFX expertise, artistic flair, and creativity will contribute to the overall artistic vision of our projects

What will you do?

• Realistic visual effects for WoT gameplay, such as immersive shots and hits, epic tank explosions and destruction.
• Textures for particle effects and RBD simulations for buildings destruction.
• Complete cinematic scenarios and interactive elements on maps using in-game tools. 
• Atmospheric and weather effects.
• Effects for tanks customization skins.
• Improve the toolset used for creating effects.
• Collaborate closely with Tech Artists and Software Engineers to implement technical solutions for new types of effects.

What are we looking for?

• Extensive experience as an Expert/Principal or Lead VFX Artist.
• Proficiency in the latest VFX tools and technologies.
• Strong artistic vision and ability to translate complex concepts into visually stunning effects in balance with VFX as player's interface.
• Experience in collaborating with technical teams to integrate effects into game engines.
• Good Collaboration and Communication skills, with a proactive attitude for working in a team with level artists, animators, and tech artists.
• Advanced artistic and technical skills to find creative solutions for realistic effects.
• A passion for gaming, art, and technology, and a drive to stay updated with the latest VFX technics in the industry.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Advanced skills in 3D modelling and texturing for VFX.
• Knowledge of physics-based simulation techniques and real-time rendering optimization, psychology of perception.
