We are seeking a detail-oriented FP&A analyst to join our finance team. The FP&A Analyst will assist with building reconciliations, monthly close activities (such as accruals), and data collation from all stakeholders/partners as needed (for accurate financial reporting and financial dashboards). This role is critical to help build accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
Drive mission-critical financial reporting and business partnering activities (planning and forecasting reconciliations, monthly close activities, etc.)
Execute and drive financial close and reporting processes in partnership with business and accounting team
Ensure accuracy of operating expense & capex reporting by working closely with business and accounting teams to make sure data is accurately captured and reported in line with set guidelines. Working with the accounting team on accruals as needed
Closely tracking variances from operating plans and forecasts; by reviewing the monthly close financial statements with the accounting team and business partners
Ensure high-quality operating plans and forecasts minimizing variances of actuals from plan. This includes tracking of the close process and keeping stakeholders updated of any gaps vs expected forecasts
Support the FP&A organization through end-to-end finance transformation – drive standardization and automation of reporting across the organization
**Qualifications**
A successful FP&A Analyst will be detail-oriented, having a strong analytical mind with the ability to identify and strengthen areas of business risks and capitalize on opportunities in the company (FP&A Organization). They should help drive the monthly close process and ensure there are no surprises. This further becomes an input to the forecasting process. This requires a lot of diligence as well as an attitude to take on new tasks with a solution mindset.

Ability to influence and strategically partner with individuals of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the organization

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required
Prior Finance (1-2 years) FP&A/accounting/ reporting experience across revenue, expense, cash or capex
Experience with SAP (ECC and S4 Hana environments) and HFM Oracle
Experience with analytics tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Google Data Studio, and spreadsheet tools (excel, Google Sheets) is required
Sound fundamentals on financial accounting knowledge, analytical ability, and sound understanding of the media ecosystem including some understanding of Gracenote’s products and services
