Job Description
About the Role:
The Grounds Crew Member is responsible for maintaining the playing field appearance and condition. Individuals will be expected to perform the daily field maintenance and operate all necessary equipment. In addition to the field maintenance, the grounds crew will execute any baseball or event related activities. Candidates must be available to work extended hours, as necessary (including nights and weekends).
Duration: 2025 Baseball Season (Approximately March-October)
Status: Part-Time Seasonal/Hourly
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
· Prepare, maintain, and repair of the field and sod
· Repair bullpen mounds and home plate areas
· Assist with mowing, aerifying, verticutting, topdressing and fertilization
· Pull tarp when necessary
· Be responsible for batting practice teardown and pre/post-game activities as it relates to the field
· Assist with irrigation maintenance
· Upkeep of infield and warning track
· Lay flooring for events as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous turf grass experience preferred but not necessary
· Safe operation of vehicles and other turn related equipment
· Valid Driver's License
· Forklift experience is a plus
· Ability to multitask, punctual and presentable
· Must possess a strong work ethic, be comfortable working in a group or on their own, have a high attention to detail, be self-motivated and eager to learn
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
· Required to stand, crouch, kneel, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and climb ladders as needed
