About the Opportunity

OKX is undertaking a significant global team buildout within its Internal Audit function, and we are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Platform & Infrastructure Audit. This is a unique opportunity to lead the audit of foundational technology platforms that support the business, including cloud infrastructure, developer operations, data engineering, and the systems/services used to build and host AI systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and manage a global Platform & Infrastructure Audit team, building a specialized team of infrastructure and data experts.
Drive the execution of a risk-based audit portfolio focused on foundational technologies, including technical audits of cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and data engineering processes.
Oversee data-driven audit practices for the Technology & Engineering audit team.
Perform technical validation of IT General Controls (ITGCs) within the underlying infrastructure to ensure controls are operating as designed.

Provide strategic audit insights and independent assurance on emerging platform, infrastructure, and AI-related risks to senior Internal Audit and Engineering leadership.

What We Look For In You

What We're Looking For: We are seeking a seasoned IT audit professional with demonstrable experience in independently assessing cloud-native infrastructure, data platforms, and DevOps practices, ideally within the crypto exchange or crypto product space. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of resilient and secure infrastructure principles applied to novel technical and control environments, coupled with strong leadership and analytical skills.

Prior Crypto Exchange/Crypto Product Experience is Highly Preferred.
Strong Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to analyze complex, often novel, technical and control environments unique to crypto, identify intricate root causes of issues, and propose effective, context-specific solutions.
Foundational Understanding of Blockchain Technology: Knowledge of distributed ledger technologies, consensus mechanisms, and the lifecycle of a cryptocurrency transaction.
Infrastructure & DevOps Auditing: Expert-level ability to lead technical audits of cloud platforms (AWS, etc.), networking, containerization (Kubernetes), and the security and efficiency of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
Data Engineering & Analytics Auditing: Expertise in auditing the integrity, quality, and privacy of both on-chain and off-chain data, including the review of complex data models, ETL processes, and experience in building or overseeing a data analytics function.
ITGC Technical Validation: Demonstrable ability to perform deep, hands-on technical validation of IT General Controls within underlying infrastructure and data pipelines to ensure controls like access and change management are operating as designed.
AI Model & Platform Auditing: Strong understanding of auditing the AI model development lifecycle (MLOps), the integrity of training data, the security of underlying AI/ML platforms, and the secure configuration of third-party AI tools.

The salary range for this position is $240,000 - $360,000
The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
