Let’s start with the role

We are looking for a Head of Pre-Event Soccer to join our Trading team and lead one of the most critical areas of our sportsbook product.

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping the pricing strategy, product offering, liability exposure, and risk management of our pre-event soccer markets. You will oversee the performance and evolution of the product, ensuring sustainable profitability while maintaining a competitive and engaging offering for our players.

You will play a key role in aligning trading performance with broader company objectives, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, while leading and developing a high-performing trading team.

This role requires deep technical expertise in pre-event soccer trading, a strong understanding of customer behavior, and the leadership skills to inspire excellence in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

• Define and execute the overall pre-event soccer trading strategy, ensuring competitive pricing, product quality, and sustainable profitability;
• Oversee market pricing, risk management, and liability exposure, maintaining an optimal balance between risk and growth;
• Continuously review trading performance and market dynamics to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation;
• Analyse results, customer behaviour, and market trends to refine strategies and drive performance.
  
  

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of traders, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture;
• Inspire the team to continuously improve, build expertise, and maintain high operational standards;
• Set clear objectives, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.
  
  

• Partner with Commercial leadership and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment between trading strategy and market-specific needs;
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise product performance and enhance the customer experience;
• Support strategic decision-making by providing insights into trading performance and market opportunities.
  
  

• Monitor daily trading results and performance metrics, communicating key insights and actions to the team;
• Ensure best practices in trading operations, risk management, and market management;
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, and analytics capabilities within the trading function.

What you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leading trading role in international environments;
• Deep expertise in pre-event soccer trading with a strong understanding of pricing models, risk management, and market dynamics;
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced trading environment;
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams;
• A strategic mindset combined with strong analytical thinking, enabling data-driven decision-making;
• Ability to understand and balance trading performance with customer behaviour and retention;
• Fluency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.
  
  

• Background in data analytics or advanced quantitative analysis.
