The Head of Product role for Data will work directly with the Director of Data, the Data development team and the rest of the stakeholders to ensure that the product is evolving in line with the vision and company OKRs.

This role will also drive alignment across the GIG Ecosystem as it interacts with all PAMs, CMS, Front End, Logic and Sportsbook to deliver end-to-end roadmaps and ensure the delivery of products is of the highest quality.

Focused on driving the KPIs that are important to the business and our clients, we are looking for a detail-oriented, technically savvy product professional who has a firm grasp on how to deliver great products to satisfy both operators' and players' needs.

Part of the delivery is also making sure the partners have the tools to succeed. Upselling current data services, coordinating demos and ensuring that partners have access to training material is of utmost importance to capatilise on DataX and its capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative in equal measure with the capability to identify areas of improvement and new product innovations with the ability to communicate the justification and gain approval from senior stakeholders In addition, role will be pivotal in the ongoing mentoring of the data product team, identifying best practices and reviewing processes to streamline the efficiency of delivery without compromising quality.

Job Responsibilities

Communication, organisation and alignment

  • Own the vision and strategy for our existing products (DataX) and potentially other verticals, as well as the introduction of new products and features with clear business cases.
  • Overall ownership of the DataX Roadmap, including prioritization, delivery time and communication of deliverables to key stakeholders
  • Working closely with management and stakeholders to understand, build and execute product development roadmap based on the overall business objectives.
  • Ensuring that all product developments have sufficient, detailed product requirement documents, functional specifications and the best UX/UI possible by working closely with the Design team.
  • Reviewing peers’ product requirements and documentation
  • Working with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps
  • Developing and implementing product consistent with company's vision
  • Collecting and analysing feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
  • Coordinating cross-functional dependencies
  • Ensuring products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Conduct regulator competitor analysis and maintain marketplace awareness, providing regular reports to management.
  • Support teams such as Service Operations to capitalise on GiG Data and its use and work with the teams in Data to make SLAs are clarified and fulfilled across the team.

Commercial & Financial awareness

  • Have a good understanding of the product, and propose methods of executions which are operationally efficient.
  • Support the commercial teams with any training schedules.
  • Attend client facing meeting at early stage and maintain relationships in the initial stages of onboarding partners, especially during migrations
  • Move towards working as a Business Unit, and work in cooperation with the finance department to ensure the right cost are assigned to the right projects as well as measure projects cost and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Leader, and have a track record of successfully managing a team
  • Experience in providing solutions utilising data in an organisation, and have made an impact
  • A data driven ambassador, able to craft ideas that can be commercially benefitting both GiG and the client
  • Capable of providing insights of build vs buy, buy yet still build, and other methodologies aligned with the company strategy without acting like a child
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role
  • Experience in product lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with Agile framework
  • Organisational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Creative thinking skills
