Lenus is looking for an Indirect Tax Manager for our Copenhagen Office

As an indirect tax manager, you will be responsible for the indirect tax in a growing business with a mission to enable people to live healthier happier lives. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as internal advisor for the business on indirect tax matters
  • Work closely with our product department to ease processes related to charging and remittance of indirect taxes globally 
  • Facilitate roll-out processes of indirect tax infrastructures for new products & markets including registrations, technical setup etc. in collaboration with external advisors 
  • Monitoring and communicating legislative developments in the indirect tax space with relevance to the Lenus Group
  • Support on requests from tax authorities and potential indirect tax audits in collaboration with advisors
  • Take on the responsibility of ensuring timely indirect tax calculations and remittance 
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the development of Finance, Tax and the business

 

Qualifications

You have a proven track record within indirect taxes and an operational approach to problem solving. You have a can-do attitude towards complex problems and the ability to operationalise legislation within the field of taxes.

  • Relevant master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar
  • Experience with indirect taxes from consulting, the tax administration or as inhouse advisor
  • Experience with a US marketplace facilitator setup and US sales taxes is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Full working proficiency in English
  • Analytical mindset – you will be building processes and structure
  • A can-do attitude to problem solving

As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will be a valued member of our Tax, Treasury & Technical accounting team, lead by Jakob Bay Klausen, collaborating closely with key stakeholders in all business areas from Product, Commercial to Finance. We foster a culture of teamwork, cooperation, and continuous learning, where your ideas and contributions are highly valued. Our team takes pride in delivering straightforward solutions to complex matters, and we encourage open communication and fresh perspectives to drive our success.

Also, you will be part of the larger Finance function of 30 FTE's, which also consists of FP&A, Legal & Compliance, Operational Accounting, Business Intelligence, Strategic Business Partnering, and Advanced Analytics and Automation. We are a young, dynamic and enthusiastic group of people with 14 different nationalities, joined by a shared vision to build one of the best and most business-driven finance functions in Denmark. We all share the intention to work from the office most of the days and we regularly enjoy team activities, such as weekly breakfasts, sports activities, dinners and recurring team events.
