The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy student to assist with IT support tasks and IT security compliance initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen interest in maintaining and enhancing IT security measures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical support and compliance management within a dynamic organizational setting. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will contribute to IT operations while learning about regulatory compliance and security best practices.
Your responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Tech, Legal, and B2B Sales, to gather information necessary for responding to IT security questionnaires from customers.
- Maintain comprehensive records of responses, ensuring transparency and consistency. Contribute to the development and improvement of a centralized repository for compliance-related information.
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, system configurations, and connectivity issues.
- Learn about compliance requirements and assist in implementing measures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and industry guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining documentation updated of IT systems, procedures, and compliance. Learn to document security incidents, compliance audits, and remediation activities accurately.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance awareness of cybersecurity best practices among employees.
- Collaborate with team members on IT projects, gaining exposure to project management methodologies, and assisting in project documentation and execution.
What you need to succeed
- Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd-year student in a Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and security concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for pursuing a career in IT support, compliance, or cybersecurity.
- Detail oriented: Pays close attention to detail when documenting procedures, maintaining records, and communicating resolutions to end-users
