As the super-platform for non-professional soccer in Europe, we bring pro-level experiences (news, data, gamification) to the mega-community of +190 million footballers and soccer fans.

We are a startup founded in 2021 in Cologne, Germany. Our team consists of smart and "hungry" members working on Prematch in our offices in Cologne and Berlin (Marketing & Business Team) or remotely across Europe (Tech & Product Team).

We are supported by partners like adidas, Krombacher, Flaschenpost and Scalable Capital, but there are still some bangers in the pipeline that you can be excited about! Furthermore, we are supported by successful investors like Ralf Reichert, the CEO of ESL or the entrepreneur Verena Pausder.

Main information
  • Office or remote: Our new office in Cologne (or our second office in Berlin) is the place to be, but of course, you can also comfortably just work from home

For this we need you
  • Be the owner of user content engagement, you'll manage all in-app user content and oversee the in-app content calendar throughout a football season.
  • Drive insights into the grassroots community and their content preferences.
  • Enhance content and engagement across different user segments.
  • Leverage our internal and external CRM tools. Within the platform, you'll analyse trends of content distribution and engagement.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to boost user engagement.
  • Spearhead on-platform marketing efforts of new features and brand partnerships, while also monitoring and executing our push notification & in app messaging strategy to inform and engage our users.

Your mission
  • As the owner of user content engagement, you'll manage all in-app user content and are responsible for our user experience of all UK users.
  • You'll gain deep insights into the grassroots community and their content preferences.
  • Understanding the content and engagement preferences of different user segments.
  • You'll oversee the in-app content calendar throughout a football season.
  • You thrive on data based decision making.
  • You have a passion for entertainment content.
  • You are confident communicator who will advocate for the users needs.
  • Finally, you'll oversee the distribution and strategic efforts of creating messaging to inform and engage our users.
What do you need
  • You're fluent in German & English.
  • You've earned a degree in Journalism, Digital Marketing, Communications, or have experience in a related field.
  • With experience in content management and a solid understanding of the app development ecosystem, you bring valuable insights to the table.
  • Your analytical mindset allows you to approach challenges with clarity and precision.
  • Your exceptional communication skills ensure effective collaboration and clear conveyance of ideas.
  • You possess an in-depth understanding of the grassroots community, enriching our strategies with local insights.
  • Having worked in content management and platform/publisher environments, you're well-versed at navigating cross department needs.
Advantage but not a must
  • Previous experience in a startup environment
  • Proactive and self-starting attitude

  • Experience with brand campaigns
  • We utilize tools such as Amplitude, Metabase, all Google Workspace tools, and Notion
