The Role:
As a Lead Pharmacy Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning of our Illinois Pharmacy warehouse. In this position, you will lead and support a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of productivity, organization, and teamwork across all warehouse operations.
You will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory. You will also be responsible for packaging and shipping patient orders in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality in every shipment.
In close partnership with the Pharmacy and Inventory Teams, you will help monitor inventory levels, identify and resolve discrepancies, and contribute to regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Your responsibilities will further include establishing effective workflows, maintaining quality control of outbound orders, and collaborating with leadership to implement process improvements while upholding safety and compliance standards.
We are looking for a Lead Warehouse Associate with primary availability Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm CT. Our facility is located in Romeoville, Illinois.
What You'll Do:Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventoryEstablish and maintain clear workflow processes, driving adherence to operational standards and efficiency targetsCollaborate closely with the Pharmacy Team to support seamless order fulfillment including packaging and shipping patient orders while maintaining a high standard of patient careLead inventory management activities such as counting, stocking, and tracking materials, working with the Inventory Team to resolve discrepanciesParticipate in regular audits and cycle countsMonitor warehouse and packaging supply levels, proactively communicating procurement needs to the appropriate teamsTrain, coach, and mentor new and existing warehouse associates, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and safetyUphold safety and cleanliness standards across all warehouse zones, ensuring a compliant and organized work environmentPartner with pharmacy and logistics stakeholders to identify and resolve operational challenges and support continuous improvementMaintain clear, consistent communication across team members and cross-functional departmentsSupport additional operational tasks and responsibilities as assigned by warehouse or pharmacy leadershipWhat You'll Bring to the Team:2+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or pharmacy operations environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory roleStrong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping proceduresProven ability to lead and motivate teams, drive accountability, and foster a collaborative, high-performing cultureLead daily workflow scheduling, team meetings, and performance evaluations including regular 1:1s with direct reportsExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced settingHigh attention to detail, with the ability to maintain quality and accuracy in repetitive tasksClear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate across teams and departmentsComfortable using warehouse equipment and systems (experience with inventory software is a plus)A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges independentlyFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support evolving business needsCommitment to following safety procedures and fostering a safe work environmentAbility to stand for long periods, bend at the waist and knee, and lift up to 50 lbsForklift certification preferred or willingness to obtainThe target base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
