About the right team member

The Senior Talent Development Specialist works with cross-functional partners to produce and deliver talent development programs for Mindbody’s global workforce. This includes, but is not limited to, producing printed or online materials, videos, communications, evaluations, and other program documentation as required. This role delivers training classes, workshops, and other events in person and through the use of technology. This role helps evaluate offerings, ensure programs meet stated objectives, and deliver effective content and presentations.

About the role

  • Lead or facilitate events via in person, web conferencing, online, and virtual classroom technologies
  • Designs, develops, and maintains program materials and resources, such as handbooks, demonstration models, visual aids, tutorials, user guides, help files and other supporting materials
  • Ensure proper planning and execution of all logistical tasks associated with planning meetings, programs, or learning events
  • Establish and promote guidelines, standards, and best practices for optimizing the learning experience
  • Design, plan and execute talent development programs
  • Create and maintain courseware for instructor led and web-based training courses
  • Facilitates dialogue with individuals and/or groups with a focus on driving performance or other desired outcomes.
  • Design, develop, and/or identify appropriate solutions for desired learning or behavioral outcome.
  • Serve as a coach or mentor to team members in a variety of roles; provides written and verbal feedback as needed. Provides performance feedback to their direct supervisor, as needed
  • Consult with individuals and teams to identify goals, develop action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountability
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and skill development in the areas of adult learning and instructional techniques for team members
  • Provide feedback and offer recommendations for the creation and revision of development programs to optimize impact (e.g. how to increase engagement, participation, return on investment (ROI), overall impact)
  • Ensures programs and related processes are repeatable and scalable for all team members globally
  • Identify and produce innovative and creative developmental programs that take advantage of the best and most appropriate technologies
  • Develop program budgets and manage expenses to plan
  • Design, develop and execute communication strategies for program offerings and initiatives
  • Manage sensitive and/or confidential data appropriately
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience 
  • Strong experience delivering soft-skills, management, and/or leadership training
  • Related training certification preferred 
  • Prior experience working within the software industry is preferred 
  • Able to manage large scale projects and initiatives 
  • Familiar with Adult Learning principles and learning evaluation metrics 
  • Must have an excellent work ethic, be a strong team player and consistently meet project deadlines 
  • Possesses a positive and proactive attitude  
  • Result-driven mentality and excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment 
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills 
  • Demonstrates awareness of cultural differences in the workplace, and integrates diversity and inclusion principles in strategies and initiatives 
  • Adept at analyzing and converting business data into insights and actions for improving talent development 
  • Preferred candidates will have experience developing and delivering training in an asynchronous online, synchronous online, or hybrid environment; experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
