Manager, Corporate Planning - Vendor Management 

San Mateo, CA / Hybrid 

 

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of vendor management and strategic sourcing at Sony Interactive Entertainment? As the Manager of Corporate Planning, you will be at the forefront of our VM team, driving excellence and innovation. In this dynamic role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, including managing contracts, invoices, and Purchase Orders. Your leadership will extend to guiding our talented team and making critical decisions that impact our business. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing new strategies, as well as enhancing existing processes to monitor vendor performance and manage the contract lifecycle. Responsibilities:

  • Collect, process paperwork for, and analyze contractual relationships within the business; provide advice on relationship status, and create reports based on vendor reception and outputs.
  • Analyze technical skills of prospective vendors and evaluate the scope of projects, with a vendor relationship requirement.
  • Create and present vendor (including financial) reports and dashboards, and present them to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provide guidance to team members in areas of Vendor/Contract Management.
  • Enter appropriate contract documents into systems used by multiple Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) management layers for accurate contract review.
  • Manage multiple concurrent vendor relationships and contracts for multi-disciplinary functions.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics of events, planning meetings, departmental meetings, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience, with 3+ years in technology-related roles..
  • Successful track record of operational responsibility in areas of contract and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of general vendor management principles and new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate vertically and cross-functionally.
  • Extremely collaborative working style
  • Knowledge of the media and entertainment industry.
  • BA/BS or relevant management work experience preferred.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$147,900$221,900 USD
