The Marketing Activation Manager will play a critical role in bringing the NFL’s marketing strategy and priorities to life in Spain. Working under the direction of the Marketing Lead, this role will help translate global campaigns and local market priorities into relevant, high-quality activations that drive fan awareness and engagement. In close partnership with global Centers of Excellence (COEs), local cross-functional teams, and external partners, this role will support the execution of priority initiatives across campaigns, owned & operated (O&O) channels, partner activations, GMP events, and key in-market moments.

This is a highly cross-functional, hands-on role for someone who brings strong project management, sharp execution, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports to the Marketing Lead and is based in Madrid, Spain.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the planning and execution of local marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with global strategy while tailoring for local audiences and cultural relevance.
• Partner with Campaigns COE to localize toolkits, messaging, and creative assets for in-market use.
• Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, budgets, agencies, and key stakeholders to ensure high-quality, on-time execution across all touchpoints.
• Serve as the primary in-market partner to the Creative COE, briefing local needs, providing market insights, and managing the adaptation of global creative for local use.
• Manage creative workflows, approvals, and delivery across campaigns, O&O channels, social support, and events.
• Partner with the Content team to ensure marketing priorities are effectively reflected in the local social content calendar.
• Support the activation of campaigns, events, and partnerships across social channels in collaboration with the Content team.
• Support Owned & Operated (O&O) promotion across local channels, including website, email, app, and in-venue placements, in coordination with relevant channel owners.
• Support sponsor and partner activations from planning through delivery, coordinating agencies, vendors, production, on-site execution, post-event recaps, and KPI tracking.
• Collaborate with Partnerships, Creative, Events, and other relevant teams to deliver integrated, high-quality activations in-market.
• Support GMP (Global Marketing Partnerships) events and other priority marketing moments in-market.
• Serve as the day-to-day activation lead for assigned projects, coordinating local execution with central and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure consistent brand standards and a premium fan experience across all executions.
• Provide marketing activation support for NFL FLAG, grassroots, and community initiatives led by the Fan Development team.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital, Business Administration, or a related
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marketing activations, experiential marketing, sponsorship, live events, sports, entertainment, or related consumer-facing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing agencies, vendors, and multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret insights and data to drive fan engagement strategies.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (both spoken and written)
• Proven experience delivering live events, brand activations, or experiential marketing programs.
• Strong background collaborating with creative teams and agencies.
• Experience supporting local campaigns and social content in partnership with content, creative, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital channels, market research, and consumer engagement trends.
• Proven creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Strong communication, drive, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to develop presentations and budgets.Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment, particularly around major events, and Game Week.
• Passport (for international travel)

• Sports/Entertainment/FMCG/market research/marketing experience preferred but not essential (ideally knowledge of NFL to facilitate the process).
