About the Role

Join the PlayStation Client Application SDK Team to lead a group of engineers passionate about delivering the technology that empowers our client-side developers to deliver engaging and high-quality experiences for users on multiple platforms. Help us grow our team and foster a perspective of approaching problems in new ways to achieve our goals. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in engineering, product, quality, and security, helping define the next generation of PlayStation’s client SDK.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of software engineers - providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them achieve their professional goals and cultivate an environment where they can thrive and excel
  • Collaborate with other managers in various fields to define and build the SDK used by our internal teams to deliver the engaging experiences our customers desire
  • Work with fellow organization managers to align team objectives with organization goals and long-term vision, ensuring our efforts contribute to the broader mission of the company
  • Partner with Quality Engineering to monitor and maintain SDK performance and quality
  • Conduct performance evaluations and goal setting exercises for team members, foster individual growth and development through regular one-on-ones

Qualifications

  • Experience in a people management role, leading developers in a hybrid work environment with global collaboration
  • Experience with software engineering practices, CI/CD systems, and testing infrastructure
  • Experience with cross-platform native development (C, C++) and developer tooling
  • Strong advocacy for personal and professional growth, ensuring every team member feels valued, recognized, and heard
  • Consistent tack record taking a project from planning to delivery
  • Eager to expand your skills and the team's
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience delivering cross-platform SDKs and supporting its end-users
  • Experience working with networking technology (sockets, TCP, HTTP, etc.)
  • Familiar with React Native, JavaScript, Python, and/or Linux development

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$201,400$302,000 USD
