Job Purpose:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and
enhancing Gracenote’s flagship software solutions for Video, Audio, Automotive, and
Sports metadata. You will focus on creating high-performance applications with a
platform-first mindset, ensuring scalability, consistency, and reliability are at the core of
every decision.

Job Description:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and
maintaining high-quality software applications using Python. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while also ensuring the
performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Key Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust Python applications.
● Design and implement advanced agentic workflows and orchestration layers
using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or similar technologies to automate
complex data processing and decision-making tasks.
● Integrate large language models (LLMs) and other AI components into the
metadata platform to build intelligent, multi-step systems.
● Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather
requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
● Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding
standards.
● Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
● Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.
● Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning,
development, testing, and deployment.
● Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously
improve skills and knowledge.
● Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
within the team.

Qualifications

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● 4 to 6 years of professional experience in software development
● Proficiency in Python is required.
● Proficiency in web frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar.
● Experience with data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) or machine
learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
● Experience with RESTful APIs ,microservices architecture and event driven design
● Knowledge of OOPs, design patterns and software engineering concepts
● Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
● Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
● Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD tools and practices.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a
team environment.
