BSE Global’s (Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, NetsGC, Long Island Nets and Barclays Center) Summer Internship Program is an excellent learning environment for college seniors, grad students, and recent grads seeking hands-on experience within the sports and entertainment industry.

SUMMARY: 

NY Liberty Internship Program is an excellent learning environment for college seniors, grad students, and recent grads seeking hands-on experience within the sports and entertainment industry.

We are looking for a Public Relations Intern to join us for the spring and summer. This is a part-time, program that will begin April 2024 and end in September 2024.

The Public Relations internship will be based primarily out of Barclays Center with some occasional work at HSS, Sunset Park. Interns are expected to work approx. 35 hours per week with some days expected to be in office and other days remote

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

Provide accurate game notes updates prior to each game throughout the 2024 season.

Assistance with all practice and gameday media availabilities at Barclays Center.

Maintaining and researching statistics prior to, during, and after each game – including postgame notes for media – in a timely fashion.

Working knowledge of basketball statistics to spot trends, records, and milestones in a proactive manner; especially in fast-paced and loud arena environments.

Prior experience in sports information, media relations, and/or communications is strongly preferred.

Ability to write clearly and succinctly. Knowledge of AP format preferred, but not required.

This is a player facing role. Strong time management, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills are required.

If needed, support with other departmental functions such as press releases, media advisories, events, and corporate initiatives.

Travel with the team to select away games and WNBA events may be required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign, Zoom, Dropbox, and social media channels.

Prior completion of an Undergraduate and/or Graduate Degree, with a focus in Communications or Sports Business, is preferred. Candidate must be available to work from the beginning of May to the end of October.

Late nights, early mornings, and working on holidays will be required. Candidate must have the ability to work every day of the week in Brooklyn, as needed.

WHO YOU ARE: 

This program is designed for college seniors, students engaged in graduate studies, or recent graduates.

REQUIREMENTS: 

All interns must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.

SALARY RANGE

$18/hr
