The NFL Philanthropy Associate will focus primarily on the NFL’s charitable programs and philanthropic commitments. Responsibilities will include grant management, internal and external communications, and project management. The position will support the Vice President of Philanthropy/Executive Director of the NFL Foundation. It will work closely with the NFL Philanthropy Manager on NFL Foundation and NFL Auction responsibilities as well as the overall Social Responsibility team. 

Responsibilities

  • Work within the NFL Foundation’s Grant Application Management System (GAMS) to help execute and manage various NFL Foundation grant programs.
  • Manage relationships and provide excellent customer service to grant recipients including NFL club foundations, NFL players and Legends, schools, youth and high school coaches, and nonprofit organizations.  Analyze and resolve grant issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Act as a voice for the NFL related to community, social, and philanthropic topics by responding to fans and various community groups who have philanthropic requests/proposals for the NFL.
  • Manage grant program budgets, evaluate current grant programs, and recommend changes, timelines, and resources needed to achieve grant program goals.
  • Work with Accounts Payable on submitting grant and contribution check requests for both GAMS and non-GAMS payments.  Work through the entire process to ensure payments are made promptly. 
  • Create, organize, and maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic, for non-GAMS-related grants. Track required progress report submissions and follow up with grantees on missing reports.
  • Update the NFL Foundation website to coincide with major calendar events, grant programs, and NFL Foundation news.
  • Serve as a liaison with developers on the NFL Foundation website and GAMS management updates including grant applications and reporting modules.
  • Help staff prepare for NFL Foundation Board meetings, audits, and program evaluations.
  • Work with NFL PR to build publicity for the NFL Foundation. Develop content to be disseminated via social media and websites. 
  • Assist with NFL Auction planning, operations, authentication, and on-site execution.
  • Help administer the NFL Auction website including inventory, product uploads, and reporting.
  • Work with NFL clubs, players, partners, and NFL Auction vendors to provide unique items and experiences via the NFL Auction platform, improve promotions, and increase revenue for charities.
  • Serve as liaison to club CR staff and internally with departments such as Marketing, Football Communications, Events, NFL Media, etc. on the league’s philanthropic efforts.
  • Schedule meetings, take meeting minutes, facilitate mailings, and help prepare presentation materials.
  • Conduct programmatic research as needed.
  • Help NFL Foundation staff create various grant assets including grant application guides, grant overviews, media templates, and visually appealing presentations for use internally and externally.
  • Assist with several administrative duties such as mailing grant checks, creating presentation decks, and generating purchase orders.
  • Assist with onboarding and system registration for first-time grantees.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned by NFL Foundation staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: BA or BS required
  • Years of Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

NFL employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. This role will likely require additional hours on nights and weekends. In-office work required.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

$25$30 USD
