We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner Manager to join Midi Health! 

Description:

As a clinical leader the Nurse Practitioner Team Manager works in partnership with the patient care team to ensure effective delivery of care and actively supports the achievement of patient, departmental and organisational goals. 

Reports to the Clinical Director for administrative and managerial responsibilities. Indirect report to Chief Clinical Officer, for clinical practice. 

Qualifications: 

  • Active NP licence in a minimum of four (4) states, including at least one of the following states: CA, IL, MD, MA, MI, NY, TX, OH, VA
  • Leadership experience:: Three (3) of the last five (5) years of practice must be in a position managing a team of at least 10 clinical individuals. 
  • Clinical experience: 
    • 5+ years of clinical experience
    • 5+ years of experience in direct patient care managing women 40+ in all stages of menopause
    • Strong HRT and menopause experience, use of FDA approved medications preferred; familiarity with hormone replacement therapy prescribing inclusive of estrogen and progesterone and possibly testosterone prescribing.
    • Experience treating menopause symptoms with a variety of methods, including both traditional medicine and naturopathic methods 
    • Comfortable working with complex patient cases
    • Strong clinical decision making skills
    • Telehealth experience (preferred)
    • Startup experience (preferred) 
  • Team-oriented: Proven ability to foster a positive team culture, which includes encouraging collaboration and promoting a supportive environment
  • Leadership by example: set a standard for professionalism, dedication, and ethical conduct among team members
  • Conflict resolution: ability to lead through conflict in a way that is professional and fair, maintaining a harmonious work environment 
  • Advocate: act as an advocate for patients, the team, and the organization; this includes ensuring the team has the necessary resources and support to deliver optimal patient care
  • Passion: passionate about access to care for women

 

Duties

  1. NP manager role is a hybrid role 
    1. Allow for situational flexing in either more clinical or more management based on temporary needs
    2. Guidance for flexing comes from Clinical Director
    3. In Google Calendar the use of focus time is encouraged for at least 4 hours a week during management time, meant to provide protected time for writing, responding, quality audits. Not intended for meeting time. 
  2. Clinical time 
    1. Patient panel
    2. Emergency visits 
    3. Recovery visits
  3. HR tasks
    1. Interview and decide on candidates
    2. Approve payroll
    3. Approve vacations
    4. Monthly 1:1s
    5. Evaluations
      1. Routine evaluations 
      2. Communicate feedback from CSATs and Chart Reviews 
    6. Clinician development and improvement
    7. Onboarding new clinicians
  4. Clinical oversight tasks
    1. Slack monitoring for clinical concerns
    2. Clinician check ins and communication
    3. NP office hours for support
  5. Tasks by request
    1. Assist in updating protocols
    2. Assist in updating Midi U
    3. Participate in Clinical Education as needed
