About the role We are seeking a Patron Communications Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Sitting within the Customer Experience team, this role is the operational heartbeat of how we communicate with millions of patrons across the Australian Open and other major events. This is not a marketing or promotional role - it's about making sure every patron has the information they need to get the most out of their day. From the moment a ticket is purchased to the final point of the tournament, you'll own the communications that help patrons navigate their experience: from ticketing info to what's on and everything in between. In this role you will be responsible for: Leading end-to-end patron communication strategies across the full event lifecycle (pre, during and post), ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience Owning and delivering multi-channel communication across digital and physical touchpoints including Ticketmaster, the AO website and app, EDM, SMS and on-site signage, covering content such as visitor information, event FAQs, schedules and day-of updates Driving data-led personalisation and optimisation of customer journeys to reduce friction in the patron journey, increase engagement and satisfaction (CSAT/NPS) Acting as the central liaison across internal teams (including Marketing, Operations, Ticketing, F&B and Product) and external partners, ensuring information is accurate, timely and consistent Leading real-time and crisis communications during events, ensuring patrons receive clear and prompt updates when plans change Building and leading a high-performing communications team, ensuring consistent brand voice, operational excellence and delivery under pressure About you To be successful in this role you will: Bring strong experience in operational communications, customer experience or event communications, with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-channel information strategy Be highly data-driven, with experience using analytics and customer insights to optimise performance and influence behaviour Have exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead in complex, fast-paced environments Demonstrate strong leadership capability, building and developing a team that performs under pressure Be a confident communicator and brand custodian, with a sharp eye for for accuracy, tone and customer impact Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia What’s to love?
