Let’s start with the role

As a Payments Compliance Officer in Kaizen, you will be part of the Payments Product team, Account & Payments vertical. Your primary responsibility is to manage all compliance-related aspects for the Payments Product team, while also providing support in major compliance (and potentially legal where needed) processes governing internal and/or external relationships. Payments Compliance Officer reports to the Head of Product, Payments.

As a Payments Compliance Officer, you will:

• Support the Payments Product team by analyzing regulatory compliance requirements governing either directly or indirectly any payments-related process.
• Ensure regulatory compliance according to the gaming regulations focusing on the payments customer interactions.
• Enable understanding of the regulatory payments landscape and effectively translate all respective requirements to the Payments Product team.
• Provide solutions & identify opportunities that support business evolution in payments.
• Promote and support product and business priorities from a regulatory compliance perspective.
• Conduct 3rd party risk assessments if/when needed.
• Assist the Payments Product team in all compliance-related internal and/or external activities.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Law/Business/Political Science/Finance.    
• Relevant experience of 2-3 years in gaming compliance or other heavily regulated industry in a Tech/GameTech/FinTech company, with a certain exposure in payments.
• Experience in managing regulatory requirements and being able to translate them to business requirements.
• At least 3-4 years of proven legal experience working in a law firm.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Tech orientation and passion for innovation and the industry are a strong plus.
• Fluency in English.
