Job Title: People Business Partner

Department: People & Culture

Reports to: Director of People & Culture

 

Job Summary

The People Business Partner works closely with leaders and teams to align people strategies with business objectives, providing support along the way. This role builds strong working relationships across the organization, providing practical guidance and solutions that enhance performance and support a collaborative, engaged, and accountable workplace. The People Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor, balancing employee experience with operational needs to drive sustainable results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Partnership
    • Develop strong partnerships with departments and leaders to understand goals, challenges, and workforce needs, and provide tailored solutions
    • Provide insight and guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy
    • Support recruitment efforts by aligning hiring strategies with business needs
  • Performance Management
    • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews
    • Coach and support managers on effective performance management techniques and support them in developing their teams
    • Monitor performance trends and provide insights to inform workforce planning and budget decisions
  • Employee Experience
    • Lead and support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientation, new hire check-ins, and exit interviews
    • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and people programs
    • Address employee concerns and provide guidance on employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
    • Support employee engagement initiatives, including staff events, engagement activities, and internal communications such as staff newsletters
    • Assist with day-to-day operations including seating charts, badge replacements, staff gear ordering, and related administrative coordination
  • Operations
    • Utilize data and insights to inform recommendations, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
    • Drive consistency and operational excellence in the application of people processes
  • Compliance
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and organizational requirements

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or related role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
