OVERVIEW

The Product Integrity & Compliance Manager ensures ALO YOGA products meet quality and compliance standards and leads process implementation within the team throughout the product development lifecycle. This role collaborates on quality processes and deploys quality requirements across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Ensure raw materials and finished product development meet ALO YOGA product safety, regulatory compliance, performance, and labeling requirements.
    • Conduct material and product risk assessments, providing recommended solutions to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with Warranty & Returns to address failures and complaints, providing feedback and recommendations to design, Material Development, and Product Development teams.
    • Monitor and update ALO inspections and audit standards as needed (e.g., SGS inspections manual – review and update annually).
  • Process Management and Improvement:
    • Lead process improvements for Product Integrity & Compliance.
    • Update and maintain ALO testing protocols.
    • Manage the product inspection process, including scheduling and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Recommend and implement efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of ALO’s inspections programs based on production timelines.
  • Testing and Inspection:

    • Manage testing for raw materials development, prototypes, mock-ups, salesman samples, and TOP testing.
    • Support material development teams in conducting wear tests, analyzing samples, and providing feedback.
    • Advise on testing and inspection focus areas based on risk assessments and test results.
    • Confirm pre-production and top-of-production samples with Technical Design, Design, and Product Development before bulk production begins.
    • Collaborate with 3rd party laboratories to develop new test methods as required.
    • Manage third-party inspections and report dispositions.
  • Training and Team Development:

    • Train internal teams on inspection standards and best practices.
    • Supervise and train ALO QC staff to ensure effective quality control procedures are in place in factories and warehouses.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tech Design, Design, Product Development, Sourcing, etc.) to establish style requirements and documentation.
    • Proactively address quality concerns or issues with ALO QC teams, Technical Design, Sourcing, and Product Development teams.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Create comprehensive reports on all assigned categories/styles and communicate findings in a timely manner.
    • Maintain and deliver monthly reports on bulk status, irregulars, and KPI activities.
    • Track and maintain key calendar milestones.
    • Manage the supply chain scorecard regarding quality assurance.
  • Risk Management and Escalation:

    • Escalate quality issues, testing failures, and potential risks to the Director, Product Integrity Technical & Compliance.
    • Monitor production quality across all ALO divisions and product categories.
    • Review product specs/requirements to ensure they are consistent and can be met during bulk production

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in the Apparel, Accessories Industry.
  • Athleisure product experience preferred.
  • Degree in Fashion/Textiles Manufacturing required.
  • Knowledge in Textile Engineering and Lab Testing.
  • Experience with EU, China, and Global Testing and Industry standards.
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and presenting requirements to a business audience.
  • Experience managing medium to large-scale and cross-functional projects Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing process within the apparel industry.
  • Ability to prioritize, operate proactively, work as a team, and handle challenges.
  • Confident, articulate, goal-oriented, self-motivated, and hardworking
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to present technical information to various audiences in an easily understood manner.
  • Capable of multi-tasking while working in a team environment to perform tasks cross-functionally.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
