PRODUCT MANAGER - ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

We are looking for a talented Product Manager to join our team, whose drive for learning and determination for continuous improvement aligns with our ambitious, fast-growing, and transforming company. You will be responsible for representing the voice of our Football customers by directing and managing research and development initiatives to ensure products are developed in line with identified market needs and defined product objectives. You will set, prioritize and evaluate the finer detail of product specifications by working closely with our development teams to build our next generation of cloud solutions across digital video assets, wearable data, and athlete information to provide insights and analytics to coaches, sports scientists, and athletes to assist in optimizing athlete performance. We believe that our customers deserve the best platform and we are on a mission to maximize and enhance their performance by delivering a high-quality experience. Our Product Managers need to match this ethos by taking responsibility for constantly improving productivity and development of self and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Owns the long-term product vision for Football, across all of the relative customer personas. 
  • Inform the product roadmap for all products that are used by our Football customers, linking the "why" to the "what" — making sure that the product and development team understands how their work contributes to the broader goals and initiatives
  • Communicate the current agreed roadmap to customers and prospects through presentations at conferences & seminars as well as one-to-one in online and face-to-face meetings.
  • Be the go-to reference point and expert on the goals, workflows and pain points of our Football customers. 
  • Through their extensive experience inside a team has deep knowledge of what customers want to achieve on a daily and weekly basis and how to provide optimal solutions that our customers can rely on to save them time and provide essential and unique insights. 
  • Be the voice of the customer for the product suite, mapping customer journeys and personas, working to analyze market requirements, and competitor products by deeply understanding customer problems to uncover unmet needs.
  • Contribute to the refinement of our methodology based on results and customer feedback.
  • Work closely with the product leaders to create and maintain a product backlog according to customer needs, business value, and ROI.
  • Contribute to the planning of go-to-market plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
  • Value simplicity and finding the fastest path to deliver maximum value to our customers. This includes managing client expectations and balancing requests against goals.
  • Drive the execution of key processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, and product launch
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Catapult across primary market segments
  • Be the outwards facing evangelist for Catapult with our Football customers and prospects. Communicate the value our products deliver and create trusting relationships with our customers and partners.
  • Communicate progress to executives and are ultimately responsible for meeting company and product objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A deep understanding of the coaching, performance review and tactical analysis activities within professional football. Preference for individuals who have 7+ years of football industry experience and have held a senior performance role at a top tier club.
  • A broad understanding of technology and applications used to assist the performance staff of elite teams. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships to continuously partner with customers eliciting feedback on new features, providing timely responses to questions and presenting demonstrations of completed functionality.
  • Ability to think holistically about all aspects of getting a product to market successfully, beyond feature readiness alone
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in order to represent and describe product offerings to internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Outstanding organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinker with a vision.
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
