The QC Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the consistent quality and performance of Selkirk Sport products. This position is responsible for performing Incoming inspection of raw materials and parts, in-process and final inspections on paddles and related components to verify they meet our exacting quality standards. The QC Inspector works directly on the production floor and in final assembly areas to identify defects, ensure compliance with design specifications, and prevent non-conforming products from reaching customers. Perform inspections of Soft Goods products and processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Incoming Inspection on raw materials and parts.
  • Perform in-process inspections throughout the paddle manufacturing process, including layup, bonding, edge guard application, and finishing.
  • Conduct final quality inspections of completed paddles and accessories to ensure compliance with product specifications and visual standards.
  • Apparel Inspection, including Inspect fabric quality, verify measurement specifications, review print/embroidery quality, confirm labeling, tagging, and packaging meet brand requirements. 
  • Bags & Accessories Inspection including check material quality, inspect construction and work, verify hardware components, conduct functional tests, ensure logo placement, branding, and packaging meet customer standards.
  • Footwear Inspection including inspect upper materials, verify symmetry and shape consistency, conduct functional checks, inspect finishing quality.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of acceptance, rejection, and rework actions.
  • Communicate quality findings in real time with Logistics, engineering, and quality teams to ensure rapid response and resolution.
  • Identify trends or recurring defects and participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure all products leaving the facility meet Selkirk Sport’s high-quality standards for performance, durability, and appearance.
  • Maintain inspection stations and ensure tools and gauges are calibrated and in proper working order.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at elevating product quality, reducing defects, and improving workflow efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Vietnamese nationality only. 
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) – mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or experience in manufacturing or quality control preferred.
  • 1–3 years of quality inspection experience, ideally in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong visual inspection skills with a keen eye for detail and cosmetic finish.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, rulers, and custom gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, product specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in documenting inspection results and using basic computer systems for tracking quality data.
  • Effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and adjusting to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with composite materials, adhesives, or finishing processes.
  • Background in sporting goods, consumer products, or other high-aesthetic industries.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • Experience with customer/brand inspection (e.g., buyer inspection, third-party inspection, or brand QC standards) is required.
  • Experience in apparel, bags, accessories, or consumer goods industries preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Hands-on, shop floor role in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and repetitive hand movements.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for specific inspection or production areas.
