THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Client Services - (Sports Sponsorship)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the position must hybrid, working (2-3 days week in office) in one of the following office locations - - Stamford, CT, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA. 

The Senior Account Executive will join our skilled and dynamic client services team. In this role, you will support multiple clients with the day-to-day sponsorship management and execution of the clients’ portfolios. This role will support the team in the development and execution of all property planning, activation and programming as delegated. 

The ideal candidate will develop strong client and partner relationships, will be organized and proficient in multi-tasking, is a quick learner, will be able to develop and maintain asset trackers, support quarterly reporting and assist with day-to-day account management tasks. Familiarity with the client’s assets across its properties is expected. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.      

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

• Assist the Account Team in the execution of campaigns for select properties across the client portfolios
• Prepare activity summaries and reports indicating results and recommended enhancements
• Assist in creating formal documentation for projects (i.e., status reports, budgets, and presentations)
• Assist with copy, image and Intellectual Property approvals with select partners, sponsorship and brand teams
• Liaise with agency partners on all campaigns where assigned
• Support identification of new activation opportunities, industry trends, and new partnership evaluations
• Maintain and update specs and deadline calendar and image database for all creative assets
• Track and assist in managing sponsorship payment and renewal schedule with client contacts
• Other related duties as assigned

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ year(s) experience in related field – agency/client service, event marketing, and/or sports marketing
• A quick learner, has a ““pitch in”, “roll up your sleeves” attitude and work ethic
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under short deadlines and as part of a team
• Detail oriented, strong organization skills and demonstrates the ability to perform multiple tasks at once
• Demonstrated ability to initiate work (self-starter)
• Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
• A writing assignment will be part of the hiring process
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Willingness to travel to assist with onsite activations and programs as needed; Anticipated Travel: Low (10-25%)
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner in environments with high profile members of the brand and properties

This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
