Job Description

OVERVIEW: 

Sportradar is seeking an experienced communications professional to drive media, betting and sports industry communications across several priority business areas in North America. Based in our New York City office, the ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced global organization, crafting compelling narratives around complex products and services in a commercially competitive landscape. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of betting, technology, and sports business sectors, as well as proven skills in stakeholder management and partner coordination. The role reports into the Senior Communications Manager, North America.  

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Support the development and execution of a proactive communications strategy that enhances Sportradar’s presence across the North American market, aligning with business goals and growth objectives.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality materials including messaging, press releases, articles, briefing documents, media pitches etc. with great accuracy. 
  • Cultivate and maintain strong media relations, both proactively and reactively, across all channels including digital, print, and broadcast, in the B2B space.
  • Knowledge of betting, tech, business and sports business media with existing relationships preferred.
  • B2B or tech PR experience working in a highly commercial environment, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to distill complex technical and business information into clear, impactful communications for various audiences.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex data-led information, translating it into more simple communications messaging, with proof points for businesses.  
  • Stay ahead of trends and developments in the sports, tech, and betting industries to inform strategy and ensure Sportradar remains at the forefront of the conversation.
  • Senior stakeholder management experience plus the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all communications touchpoints.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven experience in a communications role, ideally in B2B or tech PR within highly competitive industries such as sports, media, or betting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality materials such as press releases, articles, and media briefings under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the betting, sports tech, and sports media landscape, with experience tailoring communications for both business and consumer audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and manage complex communications campaigns from inception to execution.
  • Excellent media relations skills, including a network of key industry contacts and the ability to navigate both proactive media outreach and rapidly respond to media inquiries.
  • Exceptionally well-organized, diplomatic, and solutions oriented. 
  • Strong worth ethic – is accountable, works smart and pushes self and others for results 
  • Ability to trouble-shoot issues before they become problematic and quickly adapt to changing requirements.  
  • Attention to detail is a must for this role. 
  • Working knowledge of the sports business industry.

Please note: this is not a sports consumer PR role. The role is based in our New York City office.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:  

  • Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations. 
  • Two Technical Interviews: Meet with the Technical team and later with the Hiring Manager to dive into your solution, as also discuss team fit. 
  • Technical Assessment: A short (home) task to showcase your technical skills. 
  • In Person Office Visit: Meet with the local team to dive into your solution, as also discuss team fit. 
  • Finals Steps: Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer! 

 

Pay Range: $70K - $90K
Sportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. Base pay is just one component of the Total Rewards that Sportradar provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
