The Sr. Coordinator, Game Statistics Operations role at the NFL demands a deep understanding of football and involves overseeing critical aspects of game statistics including gameday support, statistical quality assurance, and data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Lead gameday support, including delegation of in-game statistical decisions and providing support for the GSIS (Game Statistics and Information System) application
  • Conduct statistical quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of data collected of NFL games
  • Lead the data collection process for operational staff reports and evaluations, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Generate weekly training and educational content to enhance the performance of the NFL game statistics operation
  • Assistance in hiring, training, and managing operational staff, both gameday and seasonal employees
  • Provide recommendations, assistance and testing of new GSIS software application features
  • Additional duties as assigned by department

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • High-level of football knowledge encompassing statistics, playing rules, players, and game strategies
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the NFL season  

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in sports statistics operations or a related field

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the NFL season
Salary
$80,000$110,000 USD
