Purpose of the Role
The Senior Data Analyst I is a pivotal client-facing liaison within the Global Delivery Hub
Project Management team. Your core mission is to support clients in the highly competitive
sports industry by leveraging data to drive strategic decisions. You will be responsible for the
end-to-end management of client projects, coordinating seamlessly between Sales and
Operations to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that help clients measure, analyze,
and interpret the effectiveness of their media and advertising investments.
Core Responsibilities
You will serve as a proactive, analytically-driven professional dedicated to operational
excellence, client success, and continuous service improvement.
1. Client Partnership & Business Acumen
● Relationship Management: Build and nurture trust and long-term relationships with
defined clients, acting as the primary point of contact and solution consultant.
● Needs Assessment: Develop a deep understanding of client business challenges,
needs, and objectives to offer the most relevant Nielsen Sports solutions /
Commercial teams.
● Domain Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in the Nielsen Sports tools and
product portfolio. Continuously expand knowledge of the sports business landscape,
media, and advertising industry to deliver maximum client value.
2. Project Management & Operational Excellence
● Project Execution: Manage simple to medium projects independently and support
complex projects under guidance, including defining scope, calculating costs, and
performing feasibility checks.
● Internal Coordination: Work closely with all media operations and Solutions groups to
align client projects and ensure strict adherence to Service-Level Agreements
(SLAs).
● Capacity & Tracking: Effectively utilize in-house tools (e.g., Monday.com) for project
implementation, tracking, and personal capacity planning.
● Financial Accountability: Own the profitability of assigned projects, ensuring they
meet or exceed budget expectations.
3. Data Analysis & Storytelling
● Data Transformation: Demonstrate proven experience in gathering and transforming
data from diverse sources into a clear, high-quality format that matches desired output
specifications.
● Insight Generation: Utilize sound data insights provision skills to analyse complex
information, developing compelling narratives that deliver meaningful, value-added
insights to clients.
● Client Presentation: Build and deliver high-quality, client-facing presentations using
either PowerPoint (pptx) or Google Slides.
● Presentation Delivery: Analyse data and co-present findings to clients alongside
experienced team members.
4. Innovation & Efficiency
● Process Automation: Be a key driver of automation and standardized, repeatable
business processes. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of services by
developing and implementing automation strategies for day-to-day tasks.
● Data Expertise: Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables,
and complex data transformation techniques.
● Analytical Mindset: Possess an analytical mindset and strong time management and
prioritization skills.
● Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to
turn analysis into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.
● Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of media and sponsorship within the
advertising industry.
● Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing to work in shifts to provide seamless support to
our USA market clients.
Highly Preferred Qualifications (Differentiators)
Candidates who possess the following will have a strong advantage:
Technical Advantage: Experience with scripting or coding languages, such as Python or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Knowledge of transforming the data using these skills is an advantage.
Efficiency Edge: Knowledge of and experience with the effective utilization of AI chatbots for streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity.
Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the USA sports landscape, leagues, and media trends.

Salary: $90,000 - $130,000
