JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Senior Director of Marketing is to develop and execute fan programs that will grow the Broncos fan base (with a particular focus on Colorado fans), increase fan engagement, and deepen brand affinity. This position will also support revenue-generating activations, corporate partnerships, ticketing, premium seating, retail, community engagement, digital media, game entertainment and other departments as necessary. The Senior Director of Marketing will have oversight of fan growth and development including brand strategy and marketing campaigns, influencer marketing, event marketing, fan growth marketing (with a focus on multicultural, youth, and women), the Broncos drumline, mascot and cheerleader programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and lead the brand strategy for the Denver Broncos while driving forward the long-term strategic brand planning. Create annual marketing plans that support key departments across the organization that enables a work-together mentality to execute year-round fan outreach and revenue objectives. Actively manage marketing budget
- Manage and execute events, including but not limited to: Pre-game, in-game and post-game fan engagement activities, Broncos 7K race, Broncos GMP (global market program) activations, Broncos Hispanic Heritage Month activities, Broncos Draft Activations and Training Camp
- Strategize, develop, coordinate, and execute in-person and digital marketing campaigns across all channels to support team initiatives.
- Strategize, develop, and supervise all aspects of Broncos fan growth marketing efforts, fan development with a focus on women, youth, Hispanic marketing, global market program fans, and out-of-market fans.
- Lead and work with Cheerleader and Mascot teams to represent the Broncos’ brand at games, on social media and at events. Collaborate with Stampede drumline on bookings while representing the Broncos brand.
- Manage and cultivate external partner relationships: promotional vendor relationships to ensure compliance with NFL Licensing rules. And work with broadcast and media partners to optimize team’s barter media budgets.
- Lead the brand marketing team, develop and cultivate talent and build a winning team culture
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise employees (full-time, hourly and part-time) and functions of brand strategy, fan development, influencer marketing, multicultural and growth marketing, event marketing, cheerleaders and mascot.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including but not limited to: Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing and resolving issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
- MBA is preferred
- Minimum 10+ years related experience in marketing
- Minimum 8+ years of management/supervisor experience
- Prior experience working in football industry (college or professional) required
- Working knowledge of the broadcast industry, including radio and television
- Experience facilitating events from initial stages of strategy, concept through completion
- Understanding and experience with corporate sponsorships
- Strong budgeting and financial management ability
- Proven track record of building and leading a high performing team
- Experience in strategizing, preparing and executing marketing and business plans
- CRM, research, and analytics experience
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000. Salary based on assessment of qualifications.
