The Senior E-Commerce Merchandiser will be responsible for managing Selkirk Sport’s online sales strategy across marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada) and our DTC platform in Asia. This role combines data analysis, visual merchandising and inventory planning to maximise revenue, enhance discoverability and create a seamless shopping experience. 

The ideal candidate is a result detail-oriented, results-driven professional with experience in e-commerce operations, pricing strategies and performance analytics and a passion for sports and omnichannel retails. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Storefront & Catalog Management

  • PDP Optimization: Create and maintain high-converting Product Detail Pages, ensuring localized copy, imagery, and technical specs (weights/dimensions) are accurate for Asian markets.
  • Collection Merchandising: Manually and dynamically sort collection pages based on inventory levels, high-margin items, and trending styles.
  • Navigation & Search: Continually audit site navigation and "Search" results to ensure customers can find products with minimal friction.

2. Sales Analysis & Reporting

  • Daily Performance Tracking: Monitor key Shopify metrics (AOV, Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate) and provide weekly "Action Reports" to the Shopify Manager.
  • Variant Analysis: Analyze sales at the SKU/variant level to identify "hero" products versus slow-movers, recommending markdowns or bundles where necessary.
  • Funnel Auditing: Use Shopify Analytics and heatmapping tools (like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity) to identify where regional customers are dropping off in the checkout journey.

3. Regional Launch & Promotion Execution

  • Campaign Readiness: Execute the "Go-Live" for regional product drops, ensuring all tags, meta-fields, and promotional banners are synced across time zones.
  • Bundling & Upselling: Configure and manage "frequently bought together" logic and regional bundle offers (e.g., 11.11 or CNY specials) using Shopify apps.

Key Competencies

  • Shopify Native: Deep familiarity with the Shopify Admin, including "Online Store 2.0" features, Metafields, and the Shopify App ecosystem.
  • Data Literacy: Ability to pull raw data into Excel/Google Sheets and transform it into a "story" (e.g., "Our conversion in Japan is high, but our AOV is low—we need to push bundles").
  • Visual Precision: An obsession with detail—ensuring images are optimized for mobile speed and that brand aesthetics are consistent across all regional sub-folders.

Agility: The ability to pivot merchandising strategies quickly based on real-time stock arrivals or sudden spikes in social media interest.
