The AML Operations Manager at Entain Australia will lead the 1st Line AML teams. These teams are responsible for monitoring client behaviour, transactions, accounts, and reviewing ACIP and KYC refresh documents and information.

The ideal candidate has proven experience planning and execution of all work streams and mentoring and managing teams of analysts.

As a seasoned professional with experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud, or Compliance Management, your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of our AML team. Where and how you can work:
The position is ideally based in Brisbane, Australia; at Entain AUS & NZ, we value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, with employees spending two days a week at the office, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences.

Your day-to-day:

  • Planning and execution of all work streams, BAU and remediation, and maintaining of WIP reports.
  • Mentoring and managing a team of 3 direct reports and 15 indirect reports, conducting performance reviews and development planning, including the setting of KPI's.
  • Review of procedural documentation and the amendment of the existing document suite when changes are required.
  • Drafting of accurate and effective procedural documents to implement and operationalise the policies, decisions and guidance as determined by the AMLCO and FCR team.
  • Analysing customer transactions, accounts, and behaviours for signs of potential Money-Laundering/Terrorist Financing behaviour.
  • Lodging Suspicious Matter Reports, Threshold Transaction Reporting and other reports with AUSTRAC as required.
  • Lead training for teams, including the onboarding of new staff, training for implementation of new procedures and processes, and refresher training as identified through the QA process.

About you:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a similar management role.
  • Clear knowledge of AML/CTF legislation and practical operational experience with KYC, sanctions, and transaction monitoring.
  • Previous experience leading a large team with both direct and indirect reports.
  • Ability to draft procedural documentation, reporting, training content and undertake data analysis.
  • Previous experience within the Waging industry and exposure to the AUSTRAC portal is preferred.
  • Ability to amend and shift priorities in an ever-changing dynamic environment with an evolving risk maturity.
