Arketa is building the operating system for modern fitness and wellness. Our mission is to make wellness more accessible by empowering studios and wellness entrepreneurs to grow beyond in-person classes. We provide a powerful, all-in-one platform to manage and scale hybrid wellness businesses—whether online, in-person, or both.
With Arketa, users can easily manage schedules, accept bookings and payments, build on-demand video libraries, host retreats, and run marketing campaigns via text and email. We also offer fully branded apps and websites, so studios can deliver a seamless, professional experience across every customer touchpoint.
We’ve raised $6M in seed funding from First Round Capital and are growing quickly. It’s a unique moment to join us—we’re building a category-defining company in a fast-moving space, and we’re looking for teammates who are excited to help shape the future of wellness.
The Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on finance leader to build Arketa’s finance function from the ground up. As our first finance hire, you’ll drive financial planning, partner with leadership on strategic decisions, and lay the foundation for a high-performing finance organization. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to guide Arketa through our next phase of growth.
What You’ll Do:
Financial Planning & Modeling
Build and maintain our operating model, annual plan, and rolling forecasts. Own revenue modeling, margin analysis, scenario planning, and budget management across departments. Keep teams accountable to targets while enabling fast, informed decision-making.
Strategic Finance & Investor Relations
Support fundraising efforts, investor updates, and board presentations with accurate forecasts and clear financial storytelling. Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
Financial Operations
Partner with external accounting, payroll, and finance vendors to manage A/P, A/R, payroll, and month-end close. Implement processes that are scalable, efficient, and accurate. Ensure we’re tracking the right data, at the right time, to guide the business. Ensure timely and accurate commission payouts to the sales team, aligning with comp plans and performance.
Internal Operations & People Support
Work cross-functionally with legal, people ops, and external vendors to manage contracts, insurance, and compliance. Provide input on HR processes including headcount planning, compensation benchmarking, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
Business Partnering & Special Projects
Collaborate with department heads to evaluate new product lines, pricing strategies, and growth investments. Use data to drive clarity, reduce friction, and unlock upside across the company.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years in a finance or internal operations role, ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS company
Deep experience in financial modeling, including revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and long-term planning
Comfortable managing accounting, payroll, A/R, and A/P with external partners
Confident negotiating contracts and supporting internal legal/ops decisions
High ownership mentality — you bring scrappy solutions and drive things forward without waiting for perfect structure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can tell a compelling story with numbers
High empathy and a strong relationship-builder across functions and teams
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving priorities
Excited to work 3 days a week from our NYC office
What We Offer:
Competitive Salary, Stock Options, and Performance-based Bonuses
Comprehensive Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance
Unlimited PTO
Annual Company Offsites
Wellness Reimbursement
Catered Lunches/Snacks
Ownership and Opportunity for Advancement
For this role, the estimated annual base salary range is $140,000–$200,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, we offer equity and performance-based bonuses as part of our total compensation package. We believe in compensating fairly and transparently, and we’re happy to provide more detail during the interview process.
