ABOUT THE ROLE

As a key member of the Strategic Planning and Operations team, the Senior Manager, People (HR) Communications will develop and deliver the internal communications strategy from the People (HR) team in order to inform, engage and inspire Peloton employees. In this role, you will act as an individual contributor working to ensure that the People team’s vision is effectively communicated and reinforced across multiple channels, meeting each team member where they are. You will have a unique opportunity to strengthen the employee experience and connection to Peloton’s mission and values.

A successful candidate will possess a unique blend of internal communications expertise, marketing experience, human resources knowledge and project management skills. They will ensure the People team’s messages are clear, tied back to Peloton’s mission and goals. Reporting to the Director, People Program Management Office, this individual contributor will own the development and delivering of the communication and go to market strategy for the People team during a transformational time. This role will work closely with the Director, Internal Communications, who leads company-wide communications on core business topics, to ensure consistency in voice and message. This role will work cross functionally with leaders and team members at all levels to drive impactful communications on People team topics.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON:

  • Lead People team Communications Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies aligned with the People department's overall vision and goals, in support of the company’s business strategy. 
    • Reinforce values and key messages to enhance employee engagement and understanding.
  • Copywriting and Messaging:
    • Demonstrate excellent copywriting skills in crafting compelling messages for various internal communication channels, including emails, newsletters, in-person and virtual events and messaging tools.
    • Ensure consistent and aligned messaging that reflects Peloton’s brand and tone of voice.
    • Able to translate complex Human Resources terminology into accessible language for the average employee.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead end-to-end project management for internal People team communications and engagement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects from ideation to execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including team members at all levels. 
    • Act as a liaison between the People team and other departments to ensure cohesive and coordinated communication efforts. 
  • Communication Platform & Channel Management & Administration:
    • Oversee the administration and maintenance of communication platforms for internal People team comms.
    • Devise channel (i.e., social, digital), audience, and engagement segmentation strategies to target specific diverse audiences.
  • Marketing Campaign Experience:
    • Leverage marketing campaign principles to enhance the impact and reach of internal communications.
    • Integrate creative marketing strategies to drive engagement and participation in People department initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    • Establish metrics and key performance indicators to measure the impact of internal communications activities and channels
    • Regularly evaluate measurements to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
    • Synthesize measurements into easy to understand reporting with recommendations for how to improve performance through time. 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON: 

  • 6+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications, with a focus on human resources.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with a demonstrated ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging communications.
  • Experience in applying marketing principles to internal communications strategies.
  • Familiarity with creative marketing techniques to enhance employee engagement.
  • Proven track record of successful project management from conception to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all communications.
  • Ability to think strategically and align communications with broader HR and organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including ideally GSuite, Slack and other intranet, email systems, intranet, and messaging tools.
  • Experience in utilizing analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust approaches accordingly.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.

Base Salary Range
$167,500$217,600 USD
