About the Role
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Senior Producer/Editor to join Rates & Barrels, The Athletic's flagship baseball podcast. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the production process of our podcast, owning the audio and video post-production process, developing engaging rundowns and segment formats, growing audience and community engagement, and ensuring that each episode is of the highest quality. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience producing video and audio podcasts, have working knowledge of YouTube, Discord, and social platforms, and be passionate about baseball, storytelling and digital media.
Responsibilities
Show Production:Collaborate with the hosts on all elements of show creative.Assist the entire production process from pre-production planning to final delivery.Manage scheduling, coordination, and logistics to ensure smooth episode execution.Editing & Post-Production:Edit episode video and mix audio to produce high-quality content, and publish episodes to our distribution platforms.Ensure consistency in style and sound quality across all segments.The annual base salary range for this role is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location.
For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
