We’re continuing down the path of high growth and high impact, and this role is a key member of the team focused on developing and implementing Cost Containment strategies for HealthJoy’s members, employers, and partners.

As Senior Program Manager, Cost Containment Strategy, you will play a key role driving utilization of the HealthJoy product, refining HealthJoy’s value narrative through verifiable cost savings, and identifying future strategic opportunities to improve client cost outcomes.. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring partnership with many teams including Product, Customer Success, Member Services, Data, and Product Marketing.

Your impact. 

  • Drive mission-critical business initiatives, collaborating with Product, Marketing, Member Services, Operations, Data, and ELT teams to define and achieve success criteria.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of a product utilization framework, including in-app, marketing, and coaching strategies, in order to meaningfully increase adoption of high-value, cost-containment focused health services.
  • Develop scaled reporting for external partners to capture and communicate HealthJoy’s value, and to identify additional opportunities for collaboration. 
  • Facilitate partner integration and utilization efforts, ensuring seamless experiences and optimized service delivery with partners like Teladoc, Employer Direct Health, and Pareto. 
  • Partner with the VP of Cost Containment, Product teams, and Member Services to refine  HealthJoy’s value proposition to customers and brokers, focusing on verifiable outcomes and cost savings.
  • Support Cost Containment thought leadership and analytic efforts, such as through claims-based cost savings analyses in partnership with HealthJoy’s Data Science team. Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to establish roadmaps, drive execution, and continuously improve the Verifiable Cost Savings  framework.
  • Align and track initiatives with strategy and product teams to identify gaps and work to resolve gaps
  • Identify and develop new Cost Containment strategies, including concept ideation, product and market diligence, and execution in partnership with relevant stakeholders.

Your experience.

  • 4+ years of program management experience, preferably in the health tech space.
  • Strong technical program management skills for driving complex programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders across multiple teams  to ensure alignment, mitigate risks, manage competing priorities, and allocate resources.
  • Analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach, capable of making reasoned decisions in uncertain situations.
  • Critical thinking skills to break down large problems, leverage data for insights, and solve issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, healthcare, or business.

Total Rewards 

Job Level: 30

Salary: $120,000-150,000 USD

The cash compensation above includes base salary only. Certain roles are eligible for additional cash incentives such as commission, annual bonus targets, overtime pay or other variable incentives.

HealthJoy maintains a comprehensive strategy to determine rewarding and competitive packages for individual compensation for new hires, internal promotions and internal job changes. This strategy is based on several factors unique to each individual, including: 1) the skills, experience and qualifications of the individual; 2) the responsibilities and demands of the role; 3) analysis of external market data; and 4) company budget and financial performance. 

HealthJoy is a remote-first employer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. 

At HealthJoy, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role and individual.
