OVERVIEW:

Are you our next Senior Retail Manager in our Regent Street store?

We’re looking for someone to join our flagship Regent Street store where you will play a pivotal part in bringing Gymshark to life, in real life (IRL). Our community and customers are our ‘family’, so we treat them as such. We don’t care if they buy, browse, or just hang out. What matters is providing a safe space where everyone belongs and feels welcome.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the overall day to day running and strategic execution of the store. Passionate about our brand and our mission, you will inspire, guide and encourage the team to create a great experience for all who visit. You will be people focused with a drive for results and an entrepreneurial approach.

You will need to have solid commercial experience, and a thorough understanding of the retail business and will guide other leaders to inspire top performance from your teams. Within our fast-moving environment you will look to coach and develop strong relationships across all teams that in turn helps you bring to life our Gymshark experience every day.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Represent the Gymshark culture and values, be a natural brand ambassador in everything you do and be passionate about the community and their experience of Gymshark 
  • train others to grow personally and professionally, and at the same time secure your own learning and development. Nurture and grow your local network
  • Support the management of your team, delivering training, creating learning opportunities and supporting everyone to be their best.  This includes the direct line management and development of Senior Team Leads, Team Leads and Senior Team Members.  
  • Leading and supporting formal people meetings, in relation to performance, conduct and compliance
  • Responsible scheduling signing off, supporting with trade insights, commercial and brand activity requirements, whilst working within a set labour budget.  Planning ahead, anticipating needs and driving dept collaboration in order to create well informed and cost effective schedules.  
  • Strive to achieve KPIs for your operational pillar, as demonstrated by the business, by motivating your team through passionate leadership and coaching
  • Be a role model for brand, customer experience, product knowledge and operational best practice and be able to train the wider team
  • Support Gymshark’s most important assets: our people, customers, and community. Ensure they and their environment are safe and sound at all times. Also have responsibility for physical assets such as building, stock and tech and ensure any losses are minimised and everything is running as it should
  • Support the store management with the execution of store driven projects as and when needed
  • Responsible for all Commercial activity within the store, always informed of what is coming up, planning and executing in line with budgets, setting objectives and planning required headcount. 
  • Key liaison for merchandising teams, driving communication and agendas, to ensure the product package is optimised, commercial activity is planned for, and all campaign and promotional activity is well organised with clear objectives
  • Prepare and present in weekly Trade meetings, explaining commercial results, trade insights and KPI performance along with upcoming priorities 
  • Identify and share opportunities both within your pillar and for the wider Gymshark business, by being involved in brand activity, understanding the intention and objective of all events and the commercial opportunity.  Influencing future brand events and connecting all store activity across Brand, Commercial and Product focuses.  
  • Key holder responsibilities including opening and closing the store
  • Do all of this whilst bringing fun and energy to your “work” every day 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience as a store leader in a fast paced retail, changing environment.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of managing / leading / developing teams of 100+
  • Positive mentality, solution focused and passionate about growth
  • Highly effective communicator, written and verbal
  • Must be able to take and give constructive feedback
  • You are comfortable shifting gears and spinning multiple plates
