PlayStation is looking for a Sr. SDET to join a global initiative in building innovative and robust test automation, tooling, and CI/CD systems in a sophisticated environment. In this role, you can expect to engage with engineers, products owners, and designers to drive an extremely high quality bar for products which are used by over 100 million people. You'll craft new automation systems, improve existing ones, drive technical excellence, and develop new tools to tackle test problems. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement libraries and tooling for automation frameworks

  • Work closely with console developers to ensure that all features and bug fixes come with automated test coverage.

  • Engage in cross-team test initiatives for new and evolving features

  • Drive high standards of quality for both engineering decisions and customer-facing features

  • Provide technical leadership within and across scrum teams

  • Create design and process artifacts to define scope and provide clarity for technical product implementations

  • Manage short and long term test and automation initiatives

  • Come up with innovative solutions to organizational problems

  • Drive a customer-focused approach to the product

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge

  • 5 years of experience in UI and/or API automation

  • Previous experience working with Python3

  • Experience with Selenium or Appium, or other front-end automation framework

  • Experience with at least one modern web application framework, preferably React

  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman or similar).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test execution in Jenkins or similar environments.

  • Experience in working with databases for backend validation

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively as needed

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Test or development experience on a non-PC device (phone/game console/set-top box, etc.)

  • Experience with React Native

  • Experience developing or writing test code for a game console

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$183,000$274,600 USD
