As a member of our automation team in Product Security, you will craft, develop software services to realize true automated application security in order to protect our customers, our product and our business.

Strong technical background and analytical thinking is expected, and the ideal candidate will be heavily involved in designing, creating and maintaining Java, Javascript and React code, as well as providing component and system level designs for Application Security automation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other architects and engineers to plan and design how engineering components will fit together

  • Design, implement and test Web Application and RESTful Web Services API for DevSecOps

  • Research and integrate third party security solutions into our system

  • Onboard internal applications to DevSecOps pipeline

  • Produce excellent, detailed design and development documentation

  • Work under tight time constraints and respond to evolving requirements

  • Collaborate with other engineers in development technologies, tools, and processes

  • Provide engineering analysis for new features

  • Drives technical objectives and architectural initiatives

  • Mentor engineers on procedures for developing quality software.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of proven programming experience in Java (or equivalent enterprise back-end) developing web server applications, object oriented design and design patterns, and passionate about writing high quality and well-architected code

  • Experience in building high-performance web services. Experience with design and implementation of modern web app architecture or web services architecture and API frameworks

  • Experience with public cloud design like AWS, Azure or GCE

  • Ability to technical deep dive into code and deployment

  • Strong understanding of engineering standard methodologies – requirement gathering and analysis, design and develop secure and scalable code with unit tests, participate in code reviews and documentation, experience with multiple technology stacks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience testing software and writing automated tests.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master's degree a plus.

Useful but not required

  • Experience to integrate tools in CI/CD pipeline

  • Experience with Application Security Tool like SAST, SCA, and DAST

  • Experience with multiple development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps etc.

  • Experience with ReactJS

  • Data Processing including SQL

  • Experience with Python and Go.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$177,300$265,900 USD
