We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team and help support tax return compliance. As a vital member of the team, you’ll be called upon to develop and further automate processes and controls, to help ensure indirect tax compliance at the local, state and international level. This role will likely grow to include income tax responsibilities in time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the global indirect tax compliance process, including US sales & use, Canadian GST/HST and indirect taxes in 20+ other countriesWork with external service providers to file returns and pay tax liabilities on time, and also maintain tax registrationsReview tax registration requirements and as needed, register for indirect taxes with the applicable authorityManage indirect tax audits, refund claims and coordinate responses to various tax authoritiesWork with external advisors on indirect tax implications and communicate to the broader team as neededIdentify opportunities for efficiency and controls and support the organization as it continues to scaleReconcile the company’s indirect tax system to book and payments historically as well as on a go forward basisMaintain the company’s indirect tax system and ensure mapping is up to dateQUALIFICATIONS:2+ years of tax experience with a working knowledge of indirect taxesBachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience with managing the audit process both US and internationalStrong communication and ability to influenceExperience interacting effectively across functions and with external service providersExperience with Shopify, Stripe, Avalara or NetSuite a plusThis role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
