Let's start with the role


This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Accounting and Tax team and help maintain the financial soundness of the organization. The Senior Tax Specialist will take care of the tax legislation, mitigate tax risks, provide expert tax advice and ensure high quality in tax accounting and reporting. You will be dealing with complex topics of tax accounting & reporting according to IFRS and contribute to the design and implementation of the group tax strategy. You will collaborate closely with the regional tax teams, the broader global finance organization, as well as external tax advisors.


As a Senior Tax Specialist you will:
  • Preparation of tax-related sections in interim and annual financial statements according to IFRS as well as in internal reporting.
  • Monitor and ensure that group’s tax filings are processed in time (tax compliance system) and initiate corresponding actions.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to Indirect and Withholding Taxes queries from finance and other business teams and maintain systems to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Offer timely feedback on Indirect and Withholding Taxes treatment and identify any potential risks associated with updated transactions.
  • Supporting complex projects relating to tax accounting & reporting according to IFRS, especially in connection with M&A projects
  • Provides support and leads in the tax accounting process in line with the new requirements of OECD Pillar II and the publication of CbCR.
  • Evaluate and provide insights on pricing for intercompany arrangements.
  • Support compliance processes for group-level transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements and including documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with both internal/external auditors’ teams and tax advisors.
  • Identifying opportunities to make the overall tax compliance process more efficient (by using different tax technologies).
  • Stay informed about major tax legislation changes in the Group’s operating jurisdictions.

 

What you’ll bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, and Auditing.
  • ADIT or similar qualification will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant working experience at an international auditing/consulting company or in the corporate tax department of an internationally oriented company with a focus on tax accounting & reporting according to IFRS.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax accounting & reporting according to IFRS
  • Very good skills in Excel and Power Point
