Riot Games' social channels span across numerous platforms and services to support players all across the globe. They're the primary method of communication with our highly-engaged players, supporting product releases, updates, community feedback and, obviously, memes.

As a Social Media Strategist II, you will work with the Player Community and Publishing teams to develop the vertical video social strategy for campaign and evergreen programs, engage with players across social channels, suggest emerging and trending content ideas, and coordinate with our International Social teams to execute campaigns that support League of Legends through TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You'll uphold best practices, including Player-First communication standards, and establish a fresh, new tone and style of engaging with a new generation of players.

You have experience building community through social media and implementing tactics and content across short-form video strategies. You understand TikTok’s unique status as a living ecosystem, Instagram’s aesthetic-first trends, and viewership habits across YouTube Shorts, wherein creating compelling content requires authentic audience interactions and a dialed-in focus on internet culture. You'll help support organizational goals, develop player-focused content, and support our international social teams to ensure content is relevant to players in every region. Lastly, you’ll collaborate with the team of Short-Form Content Social Strategists across VALORANT, TFT, and Riot Brand to ensure consistency and best-in-class content spans across Riot’s entire portfolio.

The Social Media Strategist II will report to the Senior Manager, Social Media for League of Legends on the Publishing Content Strategy team.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the short-form content production and strategy for the League of Legends TikTok channel along with Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, creating social-first content experiences and audience interactions
• Support League of Legend’s global short-form, vertical video content with copywriting, publishing and managing social communities with a player-first mindset
• Operationalize and continue to support and iterate best-in-class vertical-first content infrastructures, in partnership with Social Leads and peer Social Strategists
• Assist in building connections with existing players and potential new players
• Monitor goals and performance metrics to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative
• Collaborate across the team of Short-Form Social Strategists to build consistent, best-in-class vertical video content across Riot’s portfolio of games

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience with online communities, social media, digital marketing, or equivalent, and/or industry recognition in the craft
• Deep and current knowledge of offerings, trends, and tone across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
• Proficiency with capturing and editing mobile video (i.e. Adobe Premiere, CapCut)
• Experience driving successes on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, specifically with short-form video and trending content
• Familiarity with League of Legends and its community and/or MOBAs

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience developing content for audiences around the globe
• Proficiency with capturing gameplay
• A keen eye for compelling content
