Sports Business Manager - Hawk-Eye India
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Mumbai, India
Role Overview:
As the Sports Business Manager - Hawk-Eye India, you will be responsible for the operational delivery and commercial growth of Hawk-Eye across India, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to maintain and expand our market position and deliver world class technology.
Hawk-Eye works with some of the biggest sports federations, tournaments and broadcasters in India, delivering officiating, broadcast, data and performance technologies. Hawk-Eye’s presence in India is predominantly focussed around cricket, where we have established partnerships over nearly two decades, with many future opportunities to expand within cricket and into other sports.
Sales & Relationships
Account manage existing India-based clients across our sports.
Increase sales opportunities, revenue, and profitability within existing client base, by reviewing existing delivering with clients and discussing new opportunities to upsell and add value.
Alongside the dedicated heads of sports and commercial teams, seek, build, and deliver on new business across sports in India, growing business leads to the point of closing.
Lead all major contract renewals, leveraging relationships across the industry.
Respond to inbound requests including RFI and RFP processes, leading proposals, pitches and negotiations of major contracts.
Maintain a robust commercial pipeline of known commercial opportunities, reporting updates on commercial activities, progress, and forecasts to management within Hawk-Eye and Sony India.
Operational Management
Working with clients to agree on statements of work for each event series.
Working with Hawk-Eye’s dedicated sports operational teams to schedule, organise, and deliver India-based events (e.g. World Cups, IPLs, Domestic and International cricket)
Leadership
Oversee, empower, mentor, and support the development of talent within the Indian operational team.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes creativity, innovation and a customer-centric approach.
Maintaining strong communication between all relevant stakeholders in Hawk-Eye and Sony India, maximising opportunities with local presence.
You'll succeed in the Sports Business Manager role if you possess:
Essential:
Proven experience in commercial or sales roles, preferably in the sports technology or related industry.
Familiarity and experience with cricket technology market.
Financial understanding and experience in building accurate commercial models.
Strong relationship-building skills; building credibility with new and existing clients.
Proven experience in leadership and line management, with a track record of inspiring teams to reach their full potential.
Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Fluent in English and Hindi.
Desirable:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Willing to seek new ways of working and ideas to support the business needs
