The Role You’ll Play
  • Continuously improve the architecture, performance, and capabilities of Playlist’s Infrastructure-as-Code platform.
  • Design, build, and operate production-ready infrastructure in AWS to support both developer enablement and customer-facing applications.
  • Use tools like TypeScript, Golang, Pulumi, and Kubernetes to create scalable, reliable systems.
  • Lead migrations and greenfield builds by applying deep knowledge of AWS architecture and cloud-native design principles.
  • Drive improvements in observability, reliability, and performance by applying distributed systems expertise.
  • Identify technical challenges across engineering squads and deliver high-impact solutions from architecture through deployment.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of inclusion, excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Participate in roadmap planning and provide input on infrastructure investments, system trade-offs, and long-term platform strategy.
Experience You Bring
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience writing production-grade code, deploying frequently, and iterating quickly.
  • Deep experience designing and managing cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Proven success partnering with application teams to modernize or migrate legacy systems to the cloud.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Pulumi (preferred), Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Proficient in CI/CD workflows using Helm, Flagger, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
  • Skilled in building scalable, secure services across networking, identity, compute, and observability stacks.
  • Ability to guide teams through ambiguity, communicate technical vision clearly, and deliver results.
  • Experience responding to and learning from production incidents in high-stakes environments.
  • Passionate about mentoring peers, improving developer experience, and supporting sustainable growth.
Bonus:
  • Experience supporting containerized workloads in AWS (EKS or native Kubernetes a plus).

  • Systems: Windows & Linux
