THE POSITION

The Sr. Manager Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for developing key strategic partnerships, focusing on league/team partners and data, odds & streaming suppliers. The role will challenge an ambitious individual to negotiate commercial agreements, execute operational excellence and build strong relationships across domestic and global partners. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues in Risk & Trading, Finance, Marketing, Legal & Commercial to drive existing relationships forward, identify new opportunity and shape team strategy.  

THE GAME PLAN

Commercial responsibility

  • Commercial negotiation and relationship management with key data, odds and streaming suppliers.
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to investigate and progress new opportunities, with a key focus on emerging sports and new incumbents on the data front.
  • Develop expert level knowledge of the supplier landscape with a responsibility to educate internal/external partners and inform objectives.
  • Contribute with colleagues and relevant stakeholders to develop sustainable long-term cost strategies for areas of responsibility.
  • Partner with colleagues in Accounting and Finance to summarize and interpret contractual terms, and analyze the financial impact of partnerships to support monthly forecasting and budgeting requirements.

Partner Relationships

  • Day to day communications between partners with a key focus on relationship development, strategic alignment & insight sharing.
  • Leverage expert level knowledge of data supplier and operator landscape to identify strategic opportunities for FanDuel.
  • Utilize an analytical approach to analyze data to establish viable insights that can inform internal strategy

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous commercial experience negotiating deals with similarly situated suppliers
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Deep understanding of the competitor landscape and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel required
  • Experience with statistical or programming software an advantage (e.g. Python, R, VBA etc.)
