About the Role

Reporting directly to Strategic Sourcing Team Leader, the primary role of Strategic Sourcing Engineer is to fulfill Sourcing Team’s operational tasks on time, and to work on raw materials / electromechanical / mechanical / chemical component supplier sourcing and management.

He/she will be responsible for information database maintenance, update and achievement information of Sourcing Team managed suppliers/components; for coordination among component suppliers, finished goods manufactures and Withings internal teams during NPI/PP/MP starting phase to make sure materials arrive in manufactures on time; for fluent communication between suppliers and internal Teams during product development phase or in case of any quality issue; for cost analysis of component, raw material price trend follows up, cost breakdown and supply chain breakdown of competitor products.

• Basic knowledge of raw materials / electromechanical / mechanical / chemical component and it's production procedure;
• Maintenance and management of mass production version log, approval sheets, supplier quotations, MP golden samples, supplier visit reports, supplier documents;
• Make sure ECN change information is well communicated among internal teams, supplier and OEM factory;
• Make sure that goods delivery communication go on smoothly among internal teams, existing OEM factories and suppliers, in order to make NPI/PP/MP on time;
• Follow instructions to support teammates in internal/external communication; follow up and manage existing supplier; support engineers in supplier communication;
• Source second-source suppliers according to technical requirement in order to support product development;
• Good understanding of sourcing operational process, and can follow the process step by step;
• Follow up and analyze raw material market price evaluation, inform related teams of the information and conclusion; propose to Sourcing teammates when necessary for cost down negotiation;
• Can negotiate with managed suppliers for tooling or MP unit price and get cost reduction.

Requirements

• Diplôme d'ingénieur de Grande Ecole (Bac+5), ideally major in biochemistry, chemistry, mechanics, material, or production;
• Basic knowledge on plastic, metal material and component production;
• Experience in hardware product development is a plus;
• Experience in supplier sourcing and management is a plus;
• Self-disciplined, proactive and reliable;
• Fluent in Chinese, French, English;
• Business trip to Asia is possible;
• Available as soon as possible.
